| Tiivistelmä: | This study investigates the association of foreign share ownership (here as: f-s-o-ship.) with firm-level disclosure (as: disc.) and corporate governance (as: c-gov.) structures in Zimbabwe, in Southern Africa. Based on data of companies listed on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange, examined are the effect of disc. and c-gov. on f-s-o-ship. It is found that disc., proportion of non-executive directors, institutional share ownership and audit committee independence all are positively and significantly associated with f-s-o-ship. The results also demonstrate that market capitalization, return on equity and liquidity ratios are significantly associated with f-s-o-ship. |
