| Tiivistelmä: | The problem of designing flexible production systems can be classified into two distinctly different phases categories: design phases and production planning phases. When the flexibility is built into the systems in design phases, it is necessary to develop new and appropriate phases in order to take advantage of the designed systems capabilities to achieve higher efficiency. |
