| Tiivistelmä: | This article does not provide evidence for why simulation offers a significantly higher quality answer to manufacturing problems than other analytical tools. Many articles already argue this case. Even so, it is helpful to understand how discrete event simulation enables companies to analyze the effect of random behaviour and dynamic interaction over time. Understanding the way they integrate allows us to understand system performance and reaction characteristics. In addition to reducing risks associated with automated manufacturing, simulation can produce significant cost savings and productivity improvement. |
