| Tiivistelmä: | Since 1994, China's rural market has gradually been lifted out of depression which had lasted for many years running since 1985. But overall, there exist many problems. The overall scale of rural market is still smaller than that of urban market. There is a wide gap in consumption between different areas in countryside. The Engel coefficient of rural residents is on the high side. It is a long way to reach the fairly "well-off" level. This paper analyzes these problems as well as the basic trends in the years to come, and also raises some suggestions on how to develop the rural market. |
