| Tiivistelmä: | This article questions the annual rankings of business schools. The paper argues that such rankings do not benefit business training quality, and that they in fact make it risky for most schools to manage such a measure of school quality and positional status. An analysis of the annual rankings of The Financial Times support this argument. The results of the analysis indicate that such rankings are driven by structural factors schools are not able to change. It was also found that bottom schools have rather dynamic ranks, but whereas the ranks of top schools are rather stable. |
