Tiivistelmä:From 1981 to 1984 the Comecon countries borrowed very little. Now they seem to solved the debt problem with a radical reduction of their domestic utilization (especially of investment). Moreover, these countries need new loans to modernize their economies which became more and more obsolete in these years. Romania, Czechoslovakia and Bulgaria are afraid of new borrowing, Poland cannot receive new loans. The GDR and Hungary are heavily borrowing and the Western bankers are happy to have such good clients.
