| Tiivistelmä: | This study deals with the complex issue of alliance performance (hereafter as: perf). 100 contractual alliances over a 5-year period are followed. Their perf. is explored in terms of abrupt termination, short-term perf., and long-term perf. The results indicate that alliances that are considered strategically important are less likely to be abruptly terminated. Among others, it is also found that newly established alliances have a higher termination rate than older ones. |
