| Tiivistelmä: | In this paper, the determinants of share repurchases (here as: s-reps.) and dividends in Finland are studied. It is found that higher foreign ownership serves as a determinant of s-reps. This is suggested to be explained by the different tax treatment of foreign and domestic investors. In addition, support is found for the signalling and agency cost hypotheses for cash distributions. |
