| Tiivistelmä: | The forestry sector in China provides a variety of important resources, from timber to paperboard, for the rapidly growing PRC economy. China's total land mass of 9.6 million sq km, or over 960 million hectares, ranges from frozen tundra in the north to tropical forests in the south. Though China's recorded forestry resources have expanded considerably over the last 20 years, increased consumption of wood and paper products is placing new pressures on China's resources. |
