Tiivistelmä:In a study substantial divergence was found between the general and issue-specific perceptual measures of departmental power. A conceptual distinctiveness between these common measures is revealed. The findings of this study raise the possibility that different dimensions of power are not equally reflected in the two measures when departmental members and top managers are the groups assessing sub-unit's power. This implies that studies of power would benefit from utilizing more than one measure and more than one group of respondents.
