| Tiivistelmä: | This paper reports on the recent sourcing practices of U.S.-based subsidiaries of foreign multinational firms. Specifically, it examines the locational and ownership aspects of global sourcing at the product-level for the two phases of production-component sourcing and assembly. This paper describes firm's global sourcing behaviors, reports management perceptions of the importance of different global sourcing strategies to market performance and empirically examines the relationship of global sourcing strategy with market performance. |
