| Tiivistelmä: | In this research the authors describe the state of a Costa Rican community in the perspective of the effect tourism development has to it. The authors collected data on the location, by conducting interviews to the local business owners. Through these interviews the authors found the issue of individual development versus community development. The study offers a peak into the concept of group dynamics and communal activity (or the lack of it) and provides some understanding about collective improvement in unregulated communities. |
