Tiivistelmä:The complex issue of multiple-discrimination has almost completely been neglected by economists and economic theory. In view of the complexity of contemporary social reality, this critical literature review brings up the need for a more diverse understanding of labour market discrimination. The paper points out the limitations of current economic theories and by using the cases of two British migrant women, Aishah Azmi and Nadia Eweida, as an example, it illustrates the potential and advantages of intersectional analysis. Because social features such as class, ethnicity, gender and race have tangible effects in the labour market, multidimensional analyses are needed.
