Tiivistelmä:This study identifies performance effects and relatedness (here as: reltd.) classes using perceptual survey data from top industrial executives. There are found four classes with significant variable differences: high, technology, customer, and low relatedness. Technology reltd. has a strong positive performance effect and high reltd. has a negative effect. Hence, it is confirmed that perceptions are multidimensional, but may include five key factors rather than the previously identified attribute categories of product-markets, value chains, and resources.
