Tiivistelmä:Citibank Privatkunden AG, a German financial institution, began to use Ramses, a computer based consultant system, seven years ago. The goal with the implementation of the system was to automate the acquisition and processing of information relating to financial investments. The system proved to be very useful: Due to its application the volume of deposits increased by 80 p.c. The bank has recently 37 000 deposits with a total value of 550 M DEM. The role automation and the system itself play in the everyday business of the firm and the reengineering carried out over the last few years are described in the article.
