| Tiivistelmä: | This study analyses the relationship between action-control and new venture success. The construct "action control" differentiates between two dispositions: action orientation and state orientation. Action orentation is related with clear and goal-oriented information- and decision processes, whereas state oriented individuals are characterized by preoccupation and hesitation thoughts. The result shows that founders of successful new ventures have a significant enhanced degree of action orientation, particularly in situations threatened by unfavorable outcomes and in decisions under pressure. |
