| Tiivistelmä: | The Green Paper demonstrates that the financial services directives already make some provision for consumer protection. More may need to be done, however, given the problems already identified and the expected developments in the cross-border provision of financial services. The Commission also wishes to engage in a wide-ranging debate with all interested parties. It welcomes comment about the issues discussed in this Green Paper to assess the need for further initiatives. Comment should focus on those issues which call for Community actions summed up in the article conclusion. |
