Tiivistelmä:Though psychologists have acknowledged that satisfaction and performance are not closely linked,this has not stopped pursuing the happy/productive worker. Some of the suggested theories over the last 30 years /Worker Participation, Theory Z,Socio-technical Systems,Job Enrichment,Strong Culture etc. are described. The psychological perspective to provide a realistic appraisal. Job satisfaction is intertwined with both life satisfaction and mental health. Attitudinal consistency study and dispositional study based on data from the National Longitudinal Survey. The individually oriented,the group oriented and the organizationally oriented systems of organizational change may be compatible,but mixing them could reduce their effectiveness.
