Tiivistelmä: | Though Japanese management techniques are generally well known, if only because they have often been copied, their origins rooting in the particular Japanese national culture are less familiar. The paradoxical "Japanese model" is described by identifying the cultural sources of the methods that have brought it to success. The Japanese have mastered the art of controlling ambiguousness and ambivalence to the point of turning them into management tools. Though it would be nonsense to try and transfer such methods to other countries, they serve to demonstrate how effective the correct use of cultural traits can be. |
