Tiivistelmä: | A better understanding of the often dramatic influence unconscious motives have on organizational behaviour has become a managerial imperative. A conceptual framework for comprehending and responding more effectively to psychological defensive human interactions is derived from the theories and clinical data of contemporary psychoanalysis and interpersonal psychiatry. It is assumed that people enter organizations with some degree of self-esteem and ego strength. In this case self-esteem refers to the value one puts on him- or herself; ego strength is the quality of self-cohesiveness. It is shown that employees respond individually to critical events according to their quality of self-esteem and ego strength. |
