| Tiivistelmä: | Businesses face change. Owners who have built them may lack the burning zeal to carry out the necessary reforms. Perhaps they talk of selling out to realize their capital. That is a common enough story. Aspects of it applied to MCB University Press, which faced changes among its suppliers, in the formulation of its products and in its distribution channels. Fortunately, the owners decided to enable those who might wish to prosper with and through the company to address the challenges. But they had to come up with a scenario for the owners that was better than selling out to people who might unscramble the company and its culture. |
