| Tiivistelmä: | This article analyses the stock market's reaction upon the introduction of a "management holding organization" on the basis of a sample of 30 German companies questioned. As criteria for assessing the reaction were used: abnormal return and as well as systematic and unsystematic risk. It turns out that shareholders in the short run react negatively to a reorganization. In the long run, however, a positive reaction can be observed with companies that diversified broadly into their core business. The risk remains unaffected by any reorganizaton. |
