| Tiivistelmä: | In this paper the authors examine the importance of various characteristics of services for the modelling of the effects of trade liberalisation in services. The analysis takes two forms. The authors use their computable general equilibrium (CGE) modelling framework to compute the effects of a hypothetical liberalisation of trade barriers in service industries, as this would affect trade, output, and employment in an eight county/region model of the world economy. The analysis is repeated four times. |
