The period under review is 1990-1994 for current data and 1994-1999 for the future market outlook. The report examines new bikes' market and therefore excludes the second-hand markets. The market for motorcycles is generally defined by statistics as splitting broadly into two sectors: bikes powered by engines less than 50 cc and bikes powered by engines more than 50 cc.
