| Tiivistelmä: | Using data from an electronics company in Taiwan, this study is a description of how a compounded gamma distribution is implemented to model the variable demand during the lead time to determine the replenishment decision of an inventory control problem. In keeping with actual practices in the field, the decision of reordering is assumed to be made immediately after a demand transaction occurs. A tabulation aid that associates the reorder quantities to different service levels and item classifications is developed. |
