| Tiivistelmä: | One of the most important methods of quantitative analysis is linear programming (LP). In this article, the application of LP in a blending process in a chemical plant is described. The main goal is to attain the most economic utilization of blending stocks without violating the given constraints. An LP blending model was built, the optimal solution was found, and sensitivity analysis was carried out using a spreadsheet. |
