| Tiivistelmä: | This essay discusses the impact that operation flexibility may have on investment decision. It points out that operation flexibility has values as financial options do. The value of operation flexibility can be studied by means of the price-setting method for options. It studies the value of options on time of investment by presenting a model of choosing time of investment. Other operation flexibility options on investment opportunities will also exert an influence on the value of the project and investment decision. The value of an investment opportunity may be influenced by several investment flexibility options. These operation flexibility options will influence each other. All of these remain to be further studied. |
