| Tiivistelmä: | The essay mainly elaborates China's policies and practice of helping the poor in recent years. These policies have changed from helping poor households to helping the economic development in poverty-striken areas, from supporting agricultural sidelines which call for small inputs and yield quick returns to supporting poverty-striken areas to develop pillar industries, from purely inputting funds and goods to poverty-striken areas to helping them develop and utilize resources at a deep level. These changes indicate that China's policies of helping the poor are being transformed towards the track under the guidance of market economy. |
