| Tiivistelmä: | This paper explores the evolution of corporate charitable donations in the UK between 1989 and 1999. The authors focus on two issues: firstly, the impact of changes in the industrial distribution on corporate charitable contributions, secondly, the incidence and distribution of corporate charitable donations in socially and environmentally sensitive industries. The results suggest that the growth in corporate charitable contributions reflects an increase in the propensity to give in a relatively static or declining manufacturing sector. |
