| Tiivistelmä: | This article provides a structured analysis for conceptual and theoretical developments in the field of supply chain (hereafter as: s-chain) management (SCM). A conceptualization of the s-chain problem domain called the "3S Model" is proposed. The model highlights three dimensions of interest to s-chain scholars and practitioners alike: 1. the synthesis of the business and resources network, 2. the characteristics of synergy btw. different actors in the network, 3. the synchronization of all operational decisions related to the control of the production and delivery of goods and services. |
