| Tiivistelmä: | This article documents the growing importance of the services sector and of services purchasing. It develops a supply chain (here as: s-chn.) framework appropriate for a services s-chn. by comparing and contrasting the applicability of three product-based manufacturing models: Global Supply Chain Forum Framework, SCOR and HewlettPackard's Supply Chain Management Model. Finally, described are the challenges for procurement professionals managing purchases for a services s-chn. Suggestions for use of s-chn. management theory, and practices for improvement are presented. |
