| Tiivistelmä: | Automatic Teller Machines are part of the new banking technology. Yet, installation of such networks is a serious investment and, hence, the bank would very much like to know in advance both the factors and the ways they seem to affect Automatic Teller Machines' performance. With the aid of classical econometric techniques, a model is attempted to develop through which questions of the type "How can card ownership and usage be increased?" could be answered. Yet other crucial issues concerning location of the outlets or range of services to be provided are not tackled here and considered as being given exogenously. |
