| Tiivistelmä: | Three subjects are analyzed: the method of representative consuming definition; the influence of socio-economic characteristics of households on the consumption of different commodities; the relative position of energy among various Greek households. The method of principal components analysis is used as a next step to the classical Engel curve estimation procedures for the investigation of the influence of household characteristics on consumer preferences. Energy, non-energy goods, durable and non-durable etc are examined. Some interesting relationships among commodity categories and household types are presented. |
