| Tiivistelmä: | The starting point of this paper is the stylized fact that company size and exporting tends to be positively related. Large sets of establishment panel data are used for three different industries from official statistics, and evidence is presented that the familiar picture of an export/sales ratio that increases (at a decreasing rate) with company size vanishes if unobserved company heterogeneity is controlled for in a fixed-effects fractional logit regression model. |
