Tiivistelmä:This paper empirically investigates the matching (hereafter as: m.) process (here as: m-proc.) of job (here as: j.) seekers and j. vacancies, on different occupational (here as: occup.) labour markets, and reveals the relative importance of supply and demand factors, and frictions in the j. creation process. Using data from German administrative records, m. functions are estimated both on the aggregate level, and for different occup. and educational groups. The results indicate substantial heterogeneity in the m-proc. at disaggregate levels. This information can be useful for policymakers.
