| Tiivistelmä: | The UK shaving market is unusual in that 70% of men still prefer a wet shave. Market size for electric shavers reached 73.4m pounds in 1994, a 6% increase on 1988 but a fall from the peak year of 1990, when sales value stood at 76.1m pounds. Unit sales have fallen by a fifth since 1988, with the most noticeable declines taking place for epilators and women's shavers. Men's shavers remain the largest sector of the electric shavers market, taking 63% of sales value and 72% of sales volume in 1994. |
