| Tiivistelmä: | This paper explores the ways in which founding entrepreneurs shape their surrounding networks. Based on existing literature, two conflicting patterns of network development are discovered. An empirical analysis is performed on 32 IT start-up firms in The Netherlands, and three patterns of network development are identified: network evolution, network renewal and network revolution. The findings of the empirical analysis provide for a reconciliation of some of the conflicting results of previous studies. |
