| Tiivistelmä: | One of the most significant outcomes of the Uruguay Round of multilateral trade negotiations was the Agreement on Textiles and Clothing (ATC). The ATC attempts to reverse decades of trade protection in the textiles and clothing sectors that violate the multilateral trading principles of nondiscrimination and transparency. This paper focuses on Article 6 of the ATC concerning transitional safeguards, examining the evolution of safeguard actions during the January 1995 to December 1998 period. |
