Tiivistelmä: | Adopting the "just-in-time" (JIT) concept is one of the major changes which manufacturing firms have attempted to implement in their organizations in order to remain competitive. However, there is little research on the applicability of any of the theories of planned organization changes to the adoption of JIT. The research described here is one of the first empirical studies. It found the Lewin-Schein model of changing an organization through three major phases, unfreezing, changing and refreezing to be well suited to the study of JIT adoption. |
