| Tiivistelmä: | Ulysses was launched in October 1990 and it arrived at Jupiter l6 months later covering nearly 1 billion kilometres in the ecliptic. The primary aim of the mission was to explore for the first time the region of space above the poles of the Sun. The opportunity to study Jupiter's magnetoshere was exploited to the greatest extent possible. |
