Tiivistelmä: | Using the Greimasian actantial model the authors analyse thirteen narrative utterances on Chernobyl taken from the 'International Herald Tribune', 'Moscow News', and 'Helsingin Sanomat'. The analysis revealed a cultural difference which is not reconcilable with semiotic matrices. These differences are, however , clearly personified by the shifting of actantial roles in the signifying practices of the three countries. |
