| Tiivistelmä: | The healthcare sector provides examples of effective use of information technology. However, in healthcare information systems must support basic control processes particularly cost accounting. Information technology must increase organizational effectiveness and efficiency. This article defines environmental turbulence and strategies for survival in this environment. Strategic MIS initiatives in healthcare are reviewed, and the results discussed. Deficiencies are defined and a model for systems requirements in changing environments is proposed. |
