| Tiivistelmä: | The use and development of expert systems for production and operations management continue to increase. However , no one has taken a systemic view regarding the technical and human issues in implementing these systems. This paper seeks to stimulate research into this problem. To this end, 14 research propositions are developed and presented. The major variables associated with these propositions are combined into a causal model to show the relationships between them and to reveal the overall impact of expert systems on the production process. |
