| Tiivistelmä: | GT is one of the key factors to improve productivity of manufacturing systems. The basic idea of GT is to group together parts that require similar operations and machines corresponding to these operations. This paper discusses two formulations of the GT problem. The first one involves basic and alternative process plans without bottleneck parts. The second formulation considers basic process plans and bottleneck parts or bottleneck machines. The algorithms developed are illustrated with numerical examples. Computational results are also provided. |
