Tiivistelmä:The results of some recent research suggest that a key aspect of strategic planning (getting senior executives to agree on, and put into writing, a definition of the purpose and scope of the company) can actually translate into profits. A 1994 study of the companies listed in the Business Week 1000, analyzing randomly selected firms across industrial groups, shows that having a mission statement significantly increases shareholder equity.
