| Tiivistelmä: | In today's litigious environment, management is struggling to maintain its dismissal prerogatives without compromising its managerial integrity and without unduly exposing the firm to lawsuits and to judicially imposed penalties. Management should be clear and straight about ist standards for performance and provide instruction, training, and support to the marginal performer who is motivated to improve. It should also be sensitive to what an employee who is being terminated has at stake and do what it can to leave that person feeling whole. |
