| Tiivistelmä: | A study, which was conducted on a longitudinal basis in 1982 and 1993, aimed to investigate to what extent the theoretical concepts of strategic planning and strategic management were applied in industrial management, and to document the changes which have occurred during the decade. The data was collected in 3-4 hour highly structured interviews with senior executives responsible for strategic management, strategic planning or corporate development. The participating companies were classified into 3 different levels of planning sophistication. |
