Tiivistelmä:This study employs computational techniques to derive a set of logically consistent propositions about the inter-relationship among time pressure, opportunities for review, training cost and the match between environment and design and their impact on organizational performance. It was found that lower cost organizations, subject to low time pressure, and employing procedurally trained agents tend to exhibit the highest performance. Additional analyses show that these propositions are consistent with the process model only in general. When different levels of time pressure are considered it is seen that not only does performance decrease as time pressure increases, but that under moderate time pressure lower cost organizations, match increased review opportunities and procedural training are consistent with the process model.
