| Tiivistelmä: | In recent years, the trade among mainland, Taiwan and Hong Kong as the link of trade has developed rapidly and formed an interdependent relationship in economy and trade. In the course of Taiwan province's foreign trade and economic development, the function of Hong Kong as its trade passage way has become increasingly important. In 1960, the total volume of trade between Taiwan and Hong Kong was US$ 0.0254 billion with a trade surplus of US$ 0.016 billion. Its accumulated trade surplus with Hong Kong from 1980 to 1985 was US$ 11.04 billion accounting for 8.4% of the total foreign trade surplus of US$ 28.75 billion in the same period. The cross straits trade with Hong Kong as the link has developed continuously. Their customs trade volume amounted to US$ 0.1 billion and Taiwan's export volume to mainland was US$ 0.99 billion. |
