Tiivistelmä:In the UK, many of the prosecutions for consumer protection offences are against corporations, especially limited companies. Criminal law, having originally developed with human defendants in mind, was pretty inappropriate when applied to corporations. As a result, legal principles had to be developed to deal with the new form of legal persons, the corporations. The purpose of the article is to examine the ways in which a corporation can be convicted of committing consumer protection offences under UK law.
